EIMA International 2026, one of the world’s leading agricultural machinery exhibitions, is taking place at BolognaFiere in Italy from November 10 to 14. The 47th edition brings together 1,800 exhibitors from 45 countries, showcasing more than 60,000 agricultural machinery and equipment models. The exhibition highlights the latest developments in tractors, harvesting equipment, precision agriculture, robotics and digital farming technologies.
EIMA 2026 Brings Together 1,800 Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers
Organized by the Italian agricultural machinery manufacturers’ federation FederUnacoma, EIMA International 2026 features more than 600 international exhibitors and expects visitors from approximately 150 countries. Following a record attendance of 350,000 visitors at the previous edition, the event continues to strengthen its position as a major global platform for agricultural mechanization.
The exhibition covers 14 specialized sectors and five themed exhibitions, presenting technologies ranging from tractors and combine harvesters to crop protection equipment, soil preparation machinery, gardening solutions and advanced agricultural robotics.
Smart Farming and Agricultural Innovation Take Center Stage
EIMA 2026 places particular emphasis on precision agriculture, automation and sustainable farming technologies. Alongside machinery displays, the Campus and Extend areas bring together universities, research institutions, professional organizations and industry representatives to explore the future of agricultural innovation.
FederUnacoma has also strengthened its collaboration with the Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA). The partnership aims to accelerate the transfer of scientific research into practical technologies that improve agricultural productivity, efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Global Tractor Market Faces Economic Challenges
Despite growing demand for advanced agricultural technologies, the global agricultural machinery market continues to face economic pressure. FederUnacoma President Mariateresa Maschio highlighted rising production costs, declining agricultural incomes and challenging weather conditions as major factors affecting machinery investment.
Tractor sales have declined in several important markets, including the United States, France, Germany, Turkey and Brazil. Industry representatives emphasize the importance of expanding into emerging markets such as Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa, while strengthening financial incentives, research and professional training.
Italy Strengthens Investment in Agricultural Mechanization
Italian Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry Francesco Lollobrigida emphasized the country’s technological leadership in agricultural machinery manufacturing and its commitment to sustainable mechanization.
According to the minister, the Italian government has invested nearly €1 billion in agricultural mechanization while expanding workplace safety support through initiatives such as the ISI fund. These measures aim to help agricultural businesses modernize equipment, improve safety and maintain competitiveness during challenging market conditions.
EIMA International 2026 Highlights the Future of Agriculture
With its extensive machinery displays, international participation and focus on innovation, EIMA International 2026 provides an important platform for manufacturers, farmers and technology developers.
The exhibition demonstrates how digital agriculture, automation, advanced machinery and sustainable production practices can help address the challenges facing global agriculture while creating new opportunities for the agricultural equipment industry.
