TürkTraktör Company Leader Matthieu Séjourné highlighted the significance of the SPP they’ve built in Sivas in achieving their sustainability goals and said, “At TürkTraktör, sustainability is a core focus for us. In line with our aim of ‘Prepares for the Future”, we are committed to providing our farmers with the most eco-friendly tractors and equipment as well as prioritizing sustainability in all our operations, particularly in production. As part of our goal to minimize our environmental impact, we’ve commissioned a solar power plant in Sivas to meet the entire electricity demand of our Ankara Factory from renewable sources we generate ourselves.”
Séjourné stated that the SPP in Sivas, whose EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) services were provided by Entek Elektrik, will enable the Ankara Factory to generate its entire electricity demand from its own resources, and said, “We took the first step towards meeting the energy demand of our Ankara Factory last year with the rooftop solar system. The power plant we commissioned in Sivas with an investment of €7.8 million covers an area of approximately 19 hectares. The 13 MWe SPP is expected to generate 22,537 MWh annually. Thanks to the Sivas SPP facility and the rooftop panels on our factory, we will now be able to generate 100% of the electricity demand for our Ankara Factory from renewable energy sources.”
