Syngenta has participated in the Fruit Attraction fair for one year, presenting its latest innovations in plant protection and improvement, the result of its clear commitment to developing efficient solutions for both farmers and the rest of the food chain. In this sense, in 2024, Syngenta has set four obvious sustainability priorities: increasing agricultural profitability, regenerating soil and nature, promoting prosperity in rural areas, and reducing the environmental impact of all its operations.
In this line of work, two main novelties presented at Fruit Attraction 2024 have been its new sweet corn Glacial and a new biostimulant: Talete. Thus, ″Glacial″ is a variety of white corn on the cob with excellent appeal for both the consumer and the retail trade, which stands out for being extra sweet, with more than 20 degrees brix and which can be marketed both fresh and in multiple formats and preparations of processed foods, whether in salads, appetizers, humus, desserts, etc.
Improve Water Management and Save This Vital Resource
Talete is a new biostimulant capable of guaranteeing greater sustainable production through correct and precise management of water resources, improving plant hydration levels, both in conditions of adequate water availability and in conditions of permanent or temporary scarcity. Talete works directly on the physiology of the plant, helping crops to increase water productivity both in conditions of water availability and in conditions of temporary or permanent scarcity. Thus, its benefits are clear: water savings, greater flexibility in irrigation, optimization in the use of water, and better production, ensuring crop sustainability.
