We invite you to be part of the 26th edition of the SOMMET DE L’ELEVAGE (LIVESTOCK SUMMIT) to be held from Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 October 2017 in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
In 2016, it is estimated that more than 1,400 exhibitors and 85,000 professional visitors, including 4,000 from abroad, will be present at the exhibition.
Located in the heart of the Massif Central, in the largest beef cattle breeding region in Europe, the SOMMET is a business forum primarily devoted to showing animals.
In 2016, more than 2,000 animals of high genetic value will be present at the show (22 French and European cattle breeds, 26 sheep breeds, 16 horse breeds, etc.).
Vector of farm policy
Every year, the SOMMET DE L’ELEVAGE is openned by a high-ranking politician wanting to meet professionals of the farming sector. Such is the influence of the SOMMET DE L’ELEVAGE, that during the show, agriculture-relevant announcements or new farm policies are made known.
Over 3 days, the SOMMET DE L’ELEVAGE offers a wide-ranging programme of farm visits, professional events, practical demonstrations and conferences dealing with agricultural current affairs.
