The X300 and X500 Series lawn tractor models introduced for 2016 come with multiple updates, such as new mower decks, an updated instrument display incorporating the ultimate cut zone indicator and easier to operate controls.
New Accel Deep mower decks
With a choice of 107, 122 and 137cm (42, 48 and 54in) cutting widths, the all-new Accel Deep mower decks deliver new levels of cut quality and finish, productivity, durability and versatility.
The deep, flat-top deck allows for a clean flow of grass clippings out of the large discharge opening resulting in excellent cut quality and higher productivity. The minimal re-cutting improves the mower’s capacity and available power, enabling the mower to maintain a high performance even in difficult mowing conditions and at greater speeds.
Thanks to its smooth contours, the deck stays cleaner and is also easier to clean when serviced as there will be less build-up of re-cut material. The deck’s heavy duty, durable design ensures many hours of trouble-free operation. It features twin mower wheels for greater strength and low-tension belt drives which reduces loads on the engine and mower bearings. An optional MulchControl attachment provides superior mulching performance and great versatility. Changing from side discharge to mulching or vice versa is done with the simple flip of a lever.
Updated controls and display panel
Easier operation is ensured by ergonomic enhancements to the controls, including a new power take-off (PTO) switch, a relocated reverse implement option (RIO) and improved park-brake latch and cruise control.
The new instrument display has the look and feel of a modern car. A power-up sequence cycles through the lights and gauges, highlighting the tractor’s sophisticated design. Important notifications are shown directly to the operator, helping to prevent damage and reduce repair costs. The display also features a “best cut zone” enabling the operator to always run the machine at its optimum speed, whilst still maintaining a great cut quality.
X350R rear discharge lawn tractor
The new X350R rear discharge lawn tractor is now equipped with a 107cm (42in) rear discharge deck with drive, airflow and durability enhancements for even better performance and reliability. As featured on the established X155R model, the cut-and-throw system delivers high performance in tall grass. The mower deck is stamped steel to provide smooth contours for a quality cut and excellent finish. An optional MulchKit is also available making the X350R a true all round machine.
Alongside these new features, the turning radius has been improved from 46 to 42cm (18 to 16.5in) and maximum cut height has been increased from 89 to 102mm (3.5 to 4in). An adjustable fill switch for the grass collector activates an indicator and alarm; so that the operator can choose when to empty their machine.
