Azurit For A Wider Range Of Products

The latest version of Lemken's precision drill can not only drill more crops, but also apply microgranules.

Azurit For A Wider Range Of Products

In addition to the existing four- six- and eight-row Azurit 9 variants with row spacings from 70 to 80cm, the new Azurit 10 is also capable of drilling six or 12 rows with a 50cm row spacing. This increases the range of applications to include soy beans and sunflowers.

Available for previous Azurit machines

The 200-liter capacity MicroHub 5 granular applicator is also new. Controlled via the Azurit on-board terminal, the metering unit is operated electrically and granules are pneumatically delivered to the seed furrow. Application rates range from 1-40kg/ha. Retrofit kits will be available for the previous Azurit 9 machines (depends on the year of manufacture).

Other new features on the Azurit 10 include automatic seed singling for maize (can be retrofitted to older machines), and a fertiliser monitoring system automatically alerts the operator to blocked coulters.

Better quality of seed placement

A furrow former has also been added to the coulters to improve the quality of seed placement and the inlet on the updated drill pipe can be replaced when worn.

Working widths (3.0-6.0m) and volume (600-litres) of then Azurit 10 are the same as the outgoing Azurit 9, as is the compatibility with the Compact Solitair, Solitair 25 KA, front hopper Solitair 23 and Solitair 12 SW.
