Antonio Carraro is taking part in the most eagerly awaited event for operators in the wine and olive oil sector: SITEVI 2023 will be held from 28 to 30 November at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier (F). At Sitevi, Antonio Carraro will be exhibiting a selection of tractors with a hybrid mechanical-hydrostatic and mechanical transmission, specialised for working in vineyards, orchards and all rowed crops even on difficult ground conditions.
Hydrostatics for Agricultural Use
The Infinity Series models, being compact tractors with a hydrostatic transmission and reversible steering, have become increasingly popular amongst the latest AC tractors designed for precision work with technical solutions. The models on display at Sitevi are the SR 7600 Infinity, a narrow track, articulated, isodiametric tractor, the TR 7600 Infinity with a steering chassis, the TR 5800 Infinity, recently introduced in the range, and the brand new SRG 7600 Infinity.
The Infinity transmission is the common denominator of the range: it allows work to be carried out in both drive directions at the same speed: from 0-15 with the mechanical working range and from 0-40 km/h with the mechanical road range. Each mechanical range comes with three hydraulic ranges, which can be engaged manually or with an automatic gearbox, without loss of traction. The forward motion pedal assists braking also on slopes by stopping the vehicle when it is released without using the brakes.
Extreme simplicity of use whilst offering full protection of the soil
The Cruise Control (or Tempomat), Limit RPM, Intellifix, Drive Mode, Fast Revers, and Uniflex suspension functions allow the operator to always find the setting best suited to the task at hand. The clutch, on the Infinity models, is only used for moving off and acts as a safety device should the machine need to be stopped immediately. The electro-hydraulic inverter on the steering wheel is extremely practical for forward and reverse manoeuvres, even repetitive ones, without having to use the clutch. The brakes are almost never used because the accelerator pedal not only controls forward movement but also decelerates the tractor bringing it to a standstill: the entire transmission is controlled with the accelerator pedal alone.
The TR 5800 Infinity represents a real new entry with its unprecedented 52hp Stage 5 power capacity; this model finds its greatest use in green area maintenance but it is no less suitable for specialised agriculture. It is an isodiametric tractor with steering wheels fitted with reversible steering on an RGS™ revolving control tower featuring a central tunnel, free from levers, which facilitates access aboard and guarantees operating comfort. The vehicle’s compactness, the availability of various types of tyres, including low pressure grass tyres along with the on-board electronics run on software, determine manoeuvrability and extreme simplicity of use whilst offering full protection of the soil.
There is zero pressure oil return
The solid chassis, derived from the larger series, guarantees excellent lifting and working capacity with equipment normally considered heavy for the traditional 50 HP hydrostatic tractors currently available on the market. Its excellent stability, combined with the perception of safety renders the tractor exceptional in its category. The control functions of the torque derived from the PTO and the torque absorbed by the wheels protect the PTO and the engine even in critical situations. The newly developed hydraulic system offers up to 13 rear couplings.
In the ‘top’ hydraulic configuration, the TR 5800 Infinity is equipped with 6 double-effect distributers, one of which has a lock position and hydraulic flow adjustment and another one is floating. There is zero pressure oil return.
