The “Women in Ag Award” is presented in four categories: “Agriculture”, “Agribusiness”, Education” and Technology & Research”. For the past four years, the Women in Ag award has been presented alternately at EuroTier and Agritechnica.
“I’m delighted that the DLG and Women in Ag Magazine are continuing their collaboration and presenting the annual Women in Ag Award for the fourth time. The award unites women from all over the world: women who work in agriculture for a common goal which is to be a positive example and motivate other women in our industry,” says Kim Schoukens, Editor and founder of Women in Ag Magazine.
“We are so much more capable than we often give ourselves credit for and we deserve to be a little more proud of ourselves. That’s why I want to encourage women in agriculture: Don’t hesitate, just apply. I promise you, it will be worth it,” says Kim Schoukens,
“I’m really looking forward to the awards ceremony at Agritechnica 2025 and to meeting all the new candidates and winners and having their stories featured in the upcoming Women in Ag Magazine,” adds Schoukens.
Many of the previous winners of Women in Ag Award will be attending Agritechnica while others will be part of the jury.
“It is very inspiring to be among a number of exceptional women working in agriculture around the world, all forging their own path,” says Kate Hoare, winner of the 2023 Women in Ag Award, “Agriculture” category. “I was incredibly honored to receive the Women in Ag Award. And I am very proud to have had the opportunity to showcase my sustainable dairy farm.
“When New Holland approached me to help me put together an application, it was a great opportunity that I couldn’t turn down. I think the award is a great way for companies to find outstanding candidates among their customers and employees and nominate them for the Women in Ag Award,” adds Hoare
Award presented by an international jury
Women who are active in the agricultural sector can apply or be nominated for an award before July 31. The award winners are selected by an international jury of representatives from agricultural practice, science, organizations and the media. The focus is on special achievements for the development of local, national and international agriculture. The jury selects the entries and winners according to the following criteria:
– Overall presentation of professional work
– Innovative approaches to work
– Contribution to promoting relevant topics in agriculture
– Positive impact on the agricultural community, locally or globally
