FBN® taps Meristem® to build Furrow Flex™ Advanced Planter Box System

With a shared mission to help farmers maximize ROI and produce more bushels, Farmers Business Network (FBN®) and Meristem Crop Performance® have joined forces to give farmers the confidence to plant untreated soybeans early.

″The genesis of FBN has always been making farms more profitable,″ said Charles Baron, co-founder of FBN. ″FBN is on a mission to provide transparency, efficiency, and a way to seamlessly transact and get a wide range of solutions delivered right to the farm. Meristem aligns with this mission through supply chain optimization and products with their patented Bio-Capsule™ Technology delivery system that has been shown to provide yield gains, while also facilitating savings on production costs.″

For the 2026 planting season, FBN will offer Farmers First® Furrow Flex™ Soy to help producers take cost out and go for more bushels. Powered by the patented Bio-Capsule Technology delivery system from Meristem Crop Performance, this advanced planter box system uses seed fluency with IonLock™ Zinc to deliver additional micronutrients, synthetic fungicides, and multiple biological solutions safely packaged to keep microbes alive and effective.

Farmers can plant early with confidence thanks to the $20 replant program and replace old-school F&I liquid seed treatment with more than 10 times the active ingredients on each seed compared to conventional treatments.

Furrow Flex Soy provides early season iron, manganese, and zinc, along with season-long protection from a broad spectrum of abiotic stressors. The IonLock Zinc increases singulation and adheres active ingredients to seed coats, including: Metalaxyl ST for control of Phytophthora and Pythium; Prephyte® ST* for protection from soil-borne diseases, nematodes and abiotic stresses; and Guard M™** EPA-registered insecticide for soybeans targeting seedcorn maggots and other secondary pests.

″This technology applied at the planter gives farmers the confidence to plant naked, lower cost soybeans early, with confidence to go for higher yield potential and a bigger return on their investment. Farmers are seeing performance that pays across every type of production environment to help them produce more bushels for less,″ said Mitch Eviston, Meristem founder and CEO. ″We are thrilled to work with FBN and their farmer-first approach –  as Meristem Crop Performance is built on the same foundation.″
