On Sunday, June 28, Yanmar once again sponsored and participated in the annual Japan Festival in Amstelveen. Held at Handelsplein this year, the sunny event welcomed many visitors and celebrated Japanese culture through food, music, performances and entertainment.
With Japan and the Netherlands both competing in the FIFA World Cup, football was a natural theme for Yanmar’s activities. Visitors of all ages tested their skills with a penalty simulator, captured moments in a football themed photobooth and met Ally de Aap, the official mascot of Almere City FC. The YT4 tractor also attracted plenty of attention from visitors.
Visitors could also enter a competition to win an official Cerezo Osaka shirt. The club originated from the Yanmar Diesel Soccer Club, founded in 1957, and Yanmar remains closely involved as a Top Partner. The festival provided a great opportunity to celebrate Yanmar’s Japanese heritage and strengthen connections with the local community,
