AGROFOOD & PLASTPRINTPACK EXHIBITON WILL BE ORGANIZED FOR THE THIRD TIME IN ETHIOPIA

Ethiopia has recently become one of the most invested regions in Africa.  Ethiopia which has proceeded an important distance on food production industry receives an enormous amount of investment from various countries including Turkey because of the production process cannot be expanded with an industry in the country.  The country’s economy is mostly depended on import, most of which has realized through the food & packaging exhibitions. The leading food and packaging event of the country is the Ethiopia Agrofood & Plastprintpack, International Food, Agriculture and Packaging Exhibition which is going to be organized between 9 and 11 May, 2019. The exhibition will be occurred for third times and among the exhibitors from there were not only the the European countries including Italy, France, Germany and Holland but also countries with huge capacity of trade such as the PRC and Turkey. Besides, a lot of international companies have participated in the event after they see the high trade potential of the country.

The Turkish national pavilion of Ethiopia Agrofood & Plastprintpack Agriculture, Agricultural Machinery, Food, Food Technologies and Packaging Exhibition is organized by Ladin Fair and Congress Organization Services Inc. on the 9 – 11 May. Ethiopia is the 2nd most densely populated country in the African continent.  There is an expectation about the demand will double the last year’s participation numbers. There are a lot of remarkable exhibitors that participated in the past years such as Sacmi, Jwell, Windmöller & Hölscher, Safrique, Serac, VDMA, Reifenhauser and ITA.

DENİZ YAZICIOĞLU: AN EVENT FOR THE PACKAGING & FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY OF UTMOST SIGNIFICANCE

Deniz YAZICIOGLU, Group Manager of Agriculture-Food-Packaging Sales Team of Ladin Fair, which is the Turkish national pavilion organizer of Ethiopia Agrofood & Plastprintpack Fair, where innovative solutions will be presented in the food and packaging industry, stated that this exhibition will meet the demand of food processing and packaging technologies of African region and said: “Ethiopia is an agricultural country that has lack of food processing and packaging industry. This exhibition is a widely important event in terms of the meeting the demand of industry in the region.

Ms. YAZICIOGLU also added that “Ethiopia has not only scarcity but also high import ratio of food and the country tries to survive with that way. That’s why the international companies have good trade opportunities in the country. We promote the market and demand the new export opportunities with the exhibition.”
