AGCO-Massey Ferguson Update on how it is supporting its customers, dealers and employees during the Coronavirus breakout

The same decision was made at the AGCO combines harvester factory in Breganze (Italy), from March, 16th. using short time work measures to secure the activity when it will be allowed to restart production.

To date, AGCO Hay Tools factories, Feucht and Wolfenbüttel in Germany are still producing and shipping products to dealers. While some of the company’s manufacturing activities are temporarily on hold, Massey Ferguson teams are making sure they continue supporting dealers and customers in their daily operations to support food production as mission critical. In this truly unprecedented time, Agriculture and Farmers are more important than ever. We will not overcome this global pandemic if we don’t have an adequate quality food supply.

“As all manufacturers around the Globe, Massey Ferguson is facing coronavirus threat to first keep its teams, dealers and customers safe. As part of AGCO,

Massey Ferguson is standing strong in the face of uncertainty from the coronavirus. Our employees around the world are rising to the occasion and taking action to protect themselves, our customers and our communities. I want to thank them for that.” says Thierry Lhotte, Vice-President & Managing Director Massey Ferguson Europe & Middle East.

“Therefore, we implemented from end of February, when the crisis began in Italy, international and domestic travel restrictions, drastically increased our sanitation efforts and implemented remote work or staggered shifts to follow social-distancing recommendations.”

“Supporting dealers´ and customers´ service demands is our top priority and is part of our Straightforward and Dependable brand’s DNA ! As of today, we keep inventory open and accessible to our dealers and customers.

Our AGCO Parts warehouses, starting with our master depot in Ennery (France) are up and running to keep our farmers productive to help on their endeavour to continue feeding the world in this very challenging period. Our parts and service teams, together with our dealer workshops teams are also working seamlessly to continue offering industry leading support in this difficult time.

This effort includes Parts delivery, Service as well as an immediately available fleet of 350 courtesy tractors as part of the MF Always Running program in France, Germany, UK & Eire, Italy, Spain, Poland, Norway and Denmark to maximise uptime for our customers. With planting and harvesting seasons started for the Northern and Southern hemispheres, we take our role in helping feed the world with the utmost concern. We are here with and for our farmers and producers. While many people must do their part by staying in, those who help feed us have a different call. There are many heroes in this crisis, and those who go out and show up so that all can eat are heroes too.”, adds Mr. Lhotte.

“While still ensuring strict hygiene rules, social distancing measures for those still working onsite, the Massey Ferguson team in Beauvais, together with its GIMA colleagues donated 10,000 masks (surgical and FFP2) as well as gloves and overalls from their own stock to the Beauvais Hospital to support the heroic medical staff working hard to save our communities lives. We are really proud and thankful to our volunteering employees for their effort on keeping working on our different sites across the globe, making sure we continue offering industry leading Service and Support to our customers day after day. Even with needed social distancing, we are all closer than ever as one single global team with our dealers and customers”; concludes Mr. Lhotte.

At the same time, Massey Ferguson is also adapting its organisation to this dynamic situation to get fully prepared, when sanitary conditions and parts availability from our suppliers will allow, to restart production and retail activities.
