Amazone takes 4 titles in the iF Design Awards 2018

These prestigious awards highlight the exceptional work of Amazone’s designers. Together with their colleagues from research and development, they are continually working to develop a high level of functionality and at the same time provide customers with ergonomic and aesthetic agricultural machinery.

Also this year, the number of candidates entering the iF Design Award was huge. The 63-member, independent international expert jury had to assign the coveted quality label from amongst 6,400 applicants from 54 countries. The four Amazone machines won over the jury due to the machines innovative interaction of technology, operator friendliness and design.

The comments about the Cataya seed drill combination from the jury were that the machine sets new standards in operator convenience. All the setting points on the central operator station have a language neutral design and are protected from any dirt ingress which means operational errors can be avoided. The innovative design and the high accuracy of seed placement saves operating time and seed.

The Catros XL compact disc harrow was selected because of its lightweight design and its easy handling and fuel saving capability. The design not only characterises the Amazone brand values in a dynamic and vigorous way, but also supports the comfortable handling of the machine.

The UF 2002 stood out because of its modern technology and compactness. This sprayer’s highly complex technology, optimised operability and modern design are all combined to sustainably and responsibly improve operator safety on agricultural farms.

The new ZG-TS fertiliser spreader convinced the jury because, thanks to the automatic machine monitoring and control, it reduces driver workload. At the same time, the steering axle of the machine minimises plant and soil damage. The dynamic hopper design allows for maximum volume and emphasises the distinctive character of the vehicle.
